I am tired of seeing this. The murder case was in another country, can’t really control other countries and how they sentence their people. So it’s not fair to compare the two. Also, this man was one of the guys who pretty much singlehandedly killed the music industry. He made 100 million dollars a year on advertising for his website of stealing music. Justin beiber can make a living because idiots will always buy shitty music, but great performers who rely on sales and tour sales to make a living suffer greatly, and eventually give up all together, and all we are left with is justin beiber. So 50 years in prison for subjecting us to a lifetime of the beib really wasn’t that much time at all in the grand scheme of things now was it?
1) The fire service is a small world. Everyone knows someone. And with the internet, everyone knows someone you’d never in a million years think they’d know. Keep it in mind.
2) Even though I do it more than I’d care to admit, responding out of emotion is rarely the correct choice.
It’s the music. People are blown away that Adele is selling so many records. I’m not. That record is great! She’s got a beautiful voice, and people are shocked when they hear actual talent. Music should be more than ad placement, more than synthesised looping of a voice that’s been Auto-Tuned and an image made to look like a superhero or supermodel. We walk on stage with five instruments and no computers. It might not sound perfect, but we’ll rip your face off, and we don’t need someone to hit ‘go’ on the computer. The band’s better than we’ve ever been. We don’t have bad shows. We kill it every night.
